Okay, I'm trying to figure out how blogspot works! I'd like to use this blog to showcase my quilts that I've made and the ones that are yet to be made. I found a very cool blog by another mom who loves to quilt (thanks crazymomquilts!) and thought it a great way to be even more inspired to do this thing that I love to do so much.
I started quilting shortly after moving to Georgia. I believe it was in the fall of 2005. There was a lady at the church we were going to who used to be part of a quilting ministry in Florida. She found out that a few of us really wanted to learn, so we became the Calvary Chapel Gwinnett Piecemakers. This quilt top was for a baby boy. Our ministry was to make quilts for all the babies born to church members. The quilt I was assigned to make was for a girl, however! So, I gave this top to someone else who was assigned a baby boy, and she finished it. The quilt pictured here is the very first quilt top I made. My friend Susie (who finished layering it and quilting it) and I presented it to the family who had just had their baby boy.
